Steel and penguins: things that come to mind when the name Pittsburgh is mentioned. But if you’re in the Burnaby Metrotown area, Pittsburg (note the missing ‘h’) has also become synonymous with Hong Kong cafe style cuisine.

Attached to Crystal Mall, Pittsburg often requires patience if traveling by car. Best to carpool to reduce time spent in the dank underground Crystal Mall parking lot.

Let’s get to the food.
I ordered the curry chicken, with rice.

$6.95 (+ $0.80 to cool your included drink – which I did with my yuanyang).
Creamy curry sauce that packs some punch and tasty chicken make this meal a winner, albeit more potatoes would’ve been welcomed.
Proportions are perfect and presentation is nice and simple.

7 out of 10 (worth the parking headaches)
